Everyone’s talking about organic foods and the importance of buying local. There’s nothing better than knowing where your food comes from and supporting local farmers at the same time. You probably know Joe and Jody Klinedinst who run the popular Italian deli at the Farmers Market. They’ve opened their own shop just down the block near Mishawaka Avenue and Beyer. In this issue, we visit their beautiful Walkerton farm and see how the entire family of five works together raising goats, making the freshest of the freshest chévre, and supporting the community. Joe and Jody recently donated 17 pounds of goat cheese to the Rain Barrel Ball at Century Center!
